Deep within the deserts of Egypt, many treasures have been recovered to tell the story of the ancient Egyptians. The artifacts and structures that have survived are our biggest lens into their lives.
Here are two of the most famous still standing structures of the Ancient Egyptians!

The Pyramids of Giza
These huge pyramids are maybe the most famous artifacts of the Egyptians.
No one knows exactly how they were built, but we do know they were built
as tombs for pharaohs. Each brick was placed individually, over time,
to create these beautiful structures.
The Great Sphinx of
Giza
Near the three large pyramids of Giza stands the great Sphinx, the body
of a lion with the head of person! The statue is made of stone and stands
260 feet long, 20 feet wide and 65 feet high. Sorry, but I don't see myself
taking my bicycle up
one of these any time soon!
